The next couple of months are bound to be busy ones for Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights as the band amps up for the release of its major label debut, Pardon Me, on March 16. Till then, don't even bother looking for the guys (and gal) in this outift anywhere near DFW. You won't find 'em; they'll be on the road the whole time, not returning to DFW until its as-yet-unscheduled CD release show in early March. Then... well, who knows what will happen?

So, many thanks to the five-piece for taking off some of its vacation time to stop on by our spot at in Oak Cliff last Wednesday night and tape the most recent episode in our ongoing DC9 Live at El Sibil series. This was a far more toned-down performance than most from the rather raucous live outfit, which, in just the past year alone, has seen itself opening up for the likes of Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd and AC/DC. But it's also all the better for it.

You'll see what I mean in the above clip, which also features the band discussing its hopes and thoughts on the whirlwind it's about to face. And, if ya like, stop on by 122 E. 5th St. in Oak Cliff this evening as we welcome another road-tested area outfit into El Sibil. It all starts at 7, and, as always, is free to attend. See you there.
