Eli Young Band have made it a long way from their UNT origins. Darius Rucker just announced them as support for his upcoming tour, their latest single is in the top ten on the US Country Chart and tomorrow they'll kick off what they hope will be an annual show at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. It's your best chance to see the local boys this year, or at least certainly the biggest chance.
Let's not call it a festival because there are plenty of those going around already, and besides this bill is a manageable four bands big. But those bands are each a headliner: Josh Abbott, Thompson Square and Easton Corbin. There may or may not be a couple special guests, as well, and we have it on good authority that they may or may not be similarly huge names in Texas Country music.
Tickets will run you anywhere from $32.50 to $60, the latter if you wanna scuff your shoes on the Rangers' pitching mound a little bit. The bands will be set up in the outfield.
