Few people have been able to make careers out of as narrow a path as Andrew WK has. The New York-based performer started out as a rocker with an affection for tasty licks and, as you can see above with his first (and kinda last) hit of note, 2001's "Party Hard," a taste for partying. But, since then, Andrew WK's broadened his career--while at the same time keeping up his life-is-a-party-worth-living mantra.
These days, in addition to performing musically, Andrew WK is also a VH1 popular culture talking head, a motivational guru, and, as he'll showcase tomorrow night at the Granada Theater, a fine emcee, to boot.
Tomorrow night, as it did last October with a performance from Neon Indian, the Dos Equis-sponsored Most Interesting Show in The World will return to the Granada, with Andrew WK running the show between the touring spectacle's standard sideshow gags. The Saturday night show, which will find Dos Equis handing out free beer to attendees, was originally an open-to-the-public-if-you-RSVP event, but the online RSVP forms have since been closed.
