...and, really, the best news of all is that we've pretty much written about them all already. (Makes writing this little entry MUCH easier.)

There's a couple more shows worth mentioning, as always, but first, a reminder of what's to come...

Tonight, there's the Deerhoof-headlined gig at the Granada, the big Trail of Dead show at Dada, the Drag the River show at Andy's in Denton, the WeShotJR Records Launch Party at Time Bandits in Denton and the Bishop Allen-headlined show at Hailey's in Denton.

On Saturday, there's the Calexico/The Acorn show at the Granada, Diplo's Mad Decent tour at the Palladium, the Frightened Rabbit/Spinto Band show at Hailey's and the Revival Tour show at the Prophet Bar with Tom Gabel and Ben Nichols and others.

And, on Sunday, there's Atmosphere at the House of Blues, the Panic at the Disco/Dashboard Confessional/Plain White T's/The Cab Rock Band tour at Nokia, Young Widows at Prophet Bar (although the band is also playing Lola's in Fort Worth tonight), the Legendary Pink Dots show at the Granada and the Parts & Labor gig at The Lounge.

Also, for the traveling set there's the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin all weekend long.

And, as if that wasn't enough, there's a couple more worth highlighting.

Deep Snapper, White Drugs, Drink to Victory Friday, November 7, at The Lounge It was early September (wow, that long ago?) when Jesse Hughey positively reviewed Deep Snapper's Minutemen-influenced Into the Ugly disc for our print edition. And this show of high energy punk acts looks like as good as any opportunity to check them out for your first (or just most recent) time.

Eastwood, Jayson Bales, Elkhart, Brian Miller Saturday, November 8, at Club Dada In a weekend filled with otherwise really high energy acts (with a few major exceptions) this strong bill of pleasant, heavily roots- and Americana-influenced acts makes for a nice change of pace. Which, I'm sure for a few people, is exactly what they'll be looking for on this weekend.

...of course, as always, if you know of another show happening this weekend that you want to tout, the comment section is open for business... --Pete Freedman
