Welcome to the jungle! The one comfortably located just inside the walls of the Gexa Energy Pavilion. After carefully parking your car on someone's lawn, you'll be ushered into said jungle if you purchased your tickets to see what's left of Guns N' Roses -- Axl Rose and some dreadlocks -- on Saturday night.
But if you aren't interested in seeing the band now that Slash and everyone else is gone, here are plenty of other shows going on this weekend, starting with the ones we've already mentioned.
Tonight, indie darlings Memoryhouse will be at Lola's Saloon, and Tinariwen will be at The Loft.
On Saturday night, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Royal, and Bear Hand will be at Trees.
And on Sunday, James McMurtry, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit will be at Dan's Silverleaf, and Glossary will be at Double Wide with Austin Lucas and Hell, TX. Also, Joe Lally of Fugazi will be at Bryan Street Tavern along with True Widow.

Edie Brickell & Heavy Make-Up
Friday, November 4, at The Kessler Theater
Just days after her husband passed through town at a much larger venue, Edie Brickell returns to Dallas with Heavy Make-Up. And while the band might not be any match for New Bohemians, it will still be worth the trip to Oak Cliff to see the former Dallas musical great.
Captured! By Robots

It's a lovable bit that JBOT has put together. He created a robot band that took over, as all robots will do one day, and made him their slave. They tour around making music -- it's an impressive show -- but you only have to wait around a couple of months before they pass through again. In fact, they're playing at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios in Denton on Sunday night, too.

The Felice Brothers will make a stop in Denton on their way to Austin's Fun Fun Fun Fest this weekend. And as Kelly Dearmore pointed out in his FFF preview yesterday, the band of former buskers always puts on a lively show.

You know you had a random white university ball cap and owned several Dave Matthews Band albums. I'm looking at you, everyone. Well, I was at one time guilty of such terrible, guilty pleasures. During that time, I thought Tim Reynolds, who guested on many DMB records, was the greatest guitar player in the world. To relive those fond memories, check out Reynolds when he stops through Dada tonight.
Soul Khan
Saturday, November 5, at Muddy Waters
There aren't too many badass freestyle rappers with ironic mustaches, but New York's Soul Khan, who will be playing at Muddy Waters (yes, that place still exists) on Saturday, looks about nerdy as it gets. Either way, he throws down some impressive rhymes in this battle on Youtube, which is approaching 1 million hits.
Sound Tribe Sector Nine
Saturday, November 5, at House Of Blues
Jammy instrumental act, Sound Tribe Sector Nine, will be at House of Blues on Saturday. So if you want to see what a dancier 311 would sound like, check them out.
Third Eye Blind, Bob Schneider, Telegraph Canyon, Slobberbone, The Orbans
Saturday, November 5, at Festival at the Switchyard in Carrollton
Third Eye Blind was also a somewhat embarrassing, guilty pleasure for many suburban high school kids a decade ago. They're currently touring the nostalgia circuit, playing small suburban festivals like this one. There is also a good handful local acts that make the bill a little more worthwhile.
Peter Murphy, She Wants Revenge, Hussle Club
Sunday, November 6, at Prophet Bar (Big Room)
Former Bauhaus singer, Peter Murphy, also known as "The Godfather of Goth," still has impressive chops after more than 30 years in music. His show at Prophet Bar will be one to see, especially considering She Wants Revenge, a modern, gothy post-punk act will be opening the show.
