On the heels of their win for Best Metal Act in the 2012 Dallas Observer Music Awards, comes the news that Fort Worth duo Pinkish Black have signed to Century Media Records, which has headquarters in California and Germany, and is home to some very metal acts, including Nachtmystium, Cryptopsy and Voivod.

Pinkish Black, however, stand out among the very metal, exploring the more grandiose and meditative side of their proposed genre. It'll be interesting to see how they follow-up this year's self-titled debut, which will be recorded once again with Matthew Barnhart at Echo Lab. The album artwork will be a collaboration between Nevada Hill and Rob Buttrum, which will no doubt be killer.

Catch Pinkish Black this Saturday, November 24, at Lola's, with Buttrum's band Terminator 2, before they head off on a short East Coast tour.
