We've seen this coming for quite some time now -- that the Dallas-based, Grammy-winning hip-hop production duo of Play-N-Skillz was going to be taking things in a more electronic direction at some point.

We saw it in the videos they've released, in their (highly successful) collaboration with David Guetta, and, well, in every single bit of information the band has leaked our way in recent months.

The surprising thing, really, is how quickly everything's happened. Just more than a month after releasing a hip-hop mixtape called Platino Lifestyle, the brothers Salinas have now released a second mixtape of electronic songs called Fireworks.

It's an interesting release -- notable, certainly, solely for the fact that it features collaborations with Nelly, Pitbull, Three 6 Mafia and Akon, the last of whom appears on a song that samples Kim Carnes' "Bette Davis Eyes." Also of note: The new, appropriately named for the season mixtape, features a couple of covers, too, including the duo's already-released "remix" of Kanye West's "All of the Lights" and a cover of Diddy's "Coming Home."

Give it a listen and download after the jump.
