In case you were wondering, no, this poster isn't three-dimensional. Not on a computer screen at least. Seriously. We just busted out a pair of 3-D glasses to check. No dice.

But it's still a cool visual.

A simple two-color print on white, the checkered background and overall retro-themed imagery and typography goes a long way toward reaffirming the overall aesthetic the headlining band's name, what with its "-matic" suffix and all.

And, indeed, in many ways, this is something of a backwards-looking show, less the flashy offerings on display elsewhere around town on New Year's and more a chicken-soup-for-the -local-music-fan's-soul deal, as three of the most cherished acts from the region over the last 15 years join forces to help celebrate the passing of 2010 and the coming of 2011.

And the poster, with its simple, yet stimulating, imagery, hammers that idea home nicely.

Think your poster is better? Want to see one of your designs get honored next week? Drop us an email with an image promoting an upcoming show right here. Oh, and, when possible, be sure to do so at least a week in advance of the show. Thanks!
