In its fifth year, South by So What?! has become defined by a certain subgenre of metal and pop-punk straight outta the 'burbs and not afraid to "emote." This year, Trivium, Motion City Soundtrack, Hellogoodbye, Even Cameras Lie and a bunch of other bands pack three stages out in Grand Prairie. The official kick-off party happens Thursday, March 15, at the Prophet Bar and features Outasight (you know, that "Tonight Is the Night" song), Mod Sun, G-Eazy, Charlie B, Kids at the Bar, Midnight Conspiracy, Crystal Visions the Hi-Yahs and more.
