Over on its Rock & Roll Daily blog today, Rolling Stone writer J. Edward Keyes gives Fort Worth's Telegraph Canyon some serious praise in a feature called Hype Monitor, where the band gets mentioned alongside longtime bubbling-under acts Bryan Scary & The Shredding Tears and HEALTH.
The band's songs, Keyes writes, are ripe for folks who "wish Ryan Adams would settle down a little, recruit six of his close friends and write that way-out-west record you know he's capable of."
Dunno how much I buy the Ryan Adams comparison, but either way, a nice score for one of the area's true musical treats.
