Kings Of Leon couldn't quite sell out the American Airlines Center last time they came through town, so the band is aiming a tad lower this year, scheduling its 2010 Dallas tour stop for the intimate-by-comparison Superpages.com Center.
The band performs Thursday, September 23, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the show beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets ($54.50 for reserved, $29.50 for lawn seats) go on sale at noon Saturday, March 20 through Live Nation.
Going on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 19, through Live Nation are tickets for Lupe Fiasco's Steppin Laser Tour with B.O.B., which comes to the House of Blues Tuesday, April 27. Tickets are $25.
And there's good news for the Frisco folks tired of driving to Dallas or Denton to hear music other than the occasional cover band at depressing, generic sports bars. Spune will begin a Thursday night original-music series at Lochrann's Irish Pub & Eatery, starting next week with The Early Republic and The Roomsounds. Shows will go from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., and did we mention they're free?
Also, ticket sales for the June 26 Sting show with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (mentioned in last week's Show Announcements) have been suspended due to a "potential scheduling conflict," according to Live Nation.
