In 2006, when Peter, Bjorn and John broke through with their catchy hit song "Young Folks," which might be more commonly known as "that whistle song," the blogosphere ate it up, and so did droves of newly acquired American fans. Rightfully so: Writer's Block was one of the best albums of that year.

Since then, they've released a few duds, but now they're back with their sixth effort, Gimme Some, which sees the band touring through the States in search of the success they had in 2006.

On Thursday, June 2, the band will be at the Granada Theater. Tickets are on sale now for $22 at the Granada's ticket website.

Speaking of shows at the Granada: The folks at the venue have also announced that they will be hosting Eels on Thursday, July 21. The band, led by the prolific singer-songwriter Mark Oliver Everett, is still touring in support of 2010's Tomorrow Morning, which was met with impressive acclaim. Tickets can be purchased for $29 at the Granada's ticket website.
