A few days ago, we received a press release stating that pop star Rihanna will be performing at the American Airlines Center on Friday, July 8. We thought "Cool!" and went on about our business.

But this morning, we received another release stating that Cee Lo Green has been added to the bill as the tour's opening act. And that makes this show quite a bit more interesting.

Tickets, ranging from $22.75 to $102.75, go on sale this Saturday at Live Nation.

In other, almost as soulful, show announcement news, former Afghan Whigs lead singer Greg Dulli's new band the Twilight Singers will be at the Granada Theater on Monday, May 30, along with Margot & the Nuclear So & So's. The Twilight Singers' new album, Dynamite Steps, which sounds, unsurprisingly, a lot like Afghan Whigs, came out yesterday, and can be streamed at over at Spin. If the new songs are any indication, the band's live show should be quite impressive.

Tickets are on sale for $19 to $30 at the Granada Ticket Website.
