Ohio duo and multiple Grammy winners the Black Keys are preparing to drop a new album next week, titled Turn Blue. From the time it was announced, Blue, the band's eighth album together, has been the crux of a slightly bizarre promotional campaign: first, its release was announced via Mike Tyson's Twitter. Then, the video for ghoulish lead single, "Fever," featured singer Dan Auerbach as a crazed televangelist. And now this morning, they added another piece to the skewed puzzle with a faux meltdown of a press conference.

Whatever meaning there is to be gleaned from all of that, at least one thing is clear: the Keys will be going on an extensive tour this year in support of the new record, and they'll be passing through Dallas on November 16 for a stop at American Airlines Center.

Granted, the show looks like just a bit of a missed opportunity for the folks of North Texas: several of the dates listed include St. Vincent, fronted of course by DFW native Annie Clark. However, when the Keys pass through town they'll have the precocious young Brit, Jake Bugg, in tow instead. (Cage the Elephant will also be joining in on selected dates.)

Ticket prices have not yet been announced, but they go on sale Friday, May 16 at 10 a.m. Check back here for updates.
