Welcome to The Weekly, where we'll tell you what's happening at various weekly musical events going on in DFW this summer. Some of them will be well-known scenes, some will be considerably less so.

If you're into jazz, cheap drinks and getting down on hump day, the Addison restaurant Azure's weekly "Wine down Wednesday" has a seat for you. Every Wednesday night until August, The Rob Holbert Group jazz band will perform at the Azure restaurant and sports bar from from 7 to 10 p.m. The band plays some smooth grooves ranging from popular jazz tunes such as the sexy Kenny G. to some of their own stuff. The members jam pretty hard, and it serves as a lovely soundtrack for conversation over Azure's extremely cheap drinks. They've got $3.50 domestic beers and $4 wells. Another Wednesday night plus: half price on all house bottles of wine. You're sure to be feeling good from more than just the jazz.

"We enjoy playing at Azure," says Rob Holbert of the The Rob Holbert group. "We like to feel the crowd. It's a jazz show so we do that sort of music, but often times people come in and want to hear some smooth R&B, and we will happily play that."

The bartenders are just as happy to be there as you'll be, and will even make you a special off the menu mix upon request. The crowd isn't too dense, but the music and the staff are great company. You'll be sure to get that intimate mid-week fix you've been looking for.

Who will you see there? The place is far from packed, but those who are there seem to be having a really great time. It's a good place for an intimate date or just a nice time to catch up with a pack of friends. The staff and the band are pretty friendly too.

When can you go? Every Wednesday until July 24th. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m.

What's the cost? Free entry

Where do you get tickets? Don't need them!

Eating and drinking? Azure has a full food menu with nearly every type of cuisine. You can grab pretty much all the basics such as chicken wings, grilled pork chops or pasta. The drinks, though, are what will make you want to come back.

What should I take? Some company.

Where can I park? Right outside in Azure's spacious parking lot.

While you're there... Talk to the band! They are willing to play whatever you'd like to hear, and as long as you tip they probably won't even silently hate you for asking!
