With all the Super Bowl parties now over and various venues still in the process of being cleaned up, there's only really one option this Monday evening. But it features a nice collection of locals, so if you're willing to hang out in Denton for the night, it's a pretty nice one.

The four bands on this crowded quadruple-bill must have decided to draw straws to see which band would headline. All four play in a similar style, so any one of them could top the bill. This evening, though, the honor goes to San Soleil, a talented quintet that specializes in experimental psychedelia. Songs like "Memento Mori" and "Oil of Vitriol" are lengthy, fuzz-drenched drones that should appeal to fans of Yo La Tengo's edgier material. Yet another Denton-area ambient and experimental pop outfit, Sunnybrook, shares some influences with Sans Soleil. Featuring a softer touch than Sans Soleil, though, Sunnybrook's dreamy confections are well worth checking out. Same goes for the performance art duo known as Eyes & Ears. Guitarist Nathan Allen, also of Seryn, shapes feedback while painter Bethany Eden does her paints with water colors. Together, Allen and Eden provide a nice experience for both, you guessed it, eyes and ears. Lastly, we have no idea who Terminator 2 is, since it's among the least google-able band names we've ever found. But their being on this bill does provide us the chance to post the Terminator 2: Judgment Day trailer, so it's not a total loss.
