Way back in May of 2009, as you may recall, there was something of a trend taking place around the local music scene, as bands scrambled to book somewhat underground gigs at warehouses around town. Some were shut down, but others, like the Refactory gig hosted at 1800 Lear St., which featured Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights, as well as two now-defunct acts, Airline and Dove Hunter, went off without a hitch.
And it was kind of a cool scene, if memory serves correctly -- although, hey, there's no need to even recall it any more. Now we can check the video for evidence. This weekend, our friends at Yes Go Productions passed along a long-time-coming clip from that 2009 event, featuring JT and the gang performing their song "Slow Train" for the crowd just before their lives became consumed with touring and the major label ringer.
Give the clip, which more than capably displays Atlantic Records' interest in the great live act, a watch after the jump.
