If there's one standout thing I recall about seeing Ozzy Osbourne at the American Airlines Center last week, it's just how many young 'uns and full-on families filled the venue's seats that night. Pretty charming stuff, I thought, even if a few folks in the comments section for our review of that show have openly wondered if an Ozzy Osbourne concert is really all that wholesome of a family experience.
My contention? C'mon, it's Ozzy. He's an icon. You want your kids to see him. And, let's be honest, you've probably cursed in front of them plenty more times than Ozzy ever could over the course of one performance.
I'm not the only one who feels this way, either. Surely, Tim DeLaughter, he of The Polyphonic Spree, Tripping Daisy and Good Records, is right by my side on this front. In fact, I can prove it. After the jump, check out a recently published YouTube clip from Ozzy's camp, which focuses on the behind-the-scenes goings-on before and after Ozzy's AAC stop last week. In addition to hearing Ozzy rave about what may be the greatest rib-eye steak he's ever eaten, you'll also see DeLaughter at the pre-show meet-and-greet with Ozzy, talking up Ozzy's legend and excitedly introducing his sons to the Prince of Fucking Darkness himself. Well worth the watch.
