Says singer Julie McKendrick of their sound:

I kind of think of what we're doing more like a soap opera or something put to music. Or like it's...it's kind of...extreme. Like, some of the lyrics are just sort of like gushy, gross, emotional...like maybe too...like a soap opera. I mean, that's the easiest. Right?
