A Friend of Unfair Park who knows where to find me October 23 -- the Plano Center -- suggests I think again. Because, see, I had plans to take the 7-year-old who lives in my house to meet and greet one William Shatner, who's been booked for months to appear at the Star Trek Fan Days event. Also on the guest list: Christopher Lloyd, for whom I have way too many Taxi questions; Jonathan Frakes, who's been to Dallas several times in recent months directing The Good Guys episodes; Wayne World's Tia Carrere, exqueeze me; Brent Spiner and Michael Dorn, for you Next Generation fans; and the dude in the Gorn suit.

But then, today, I get this update: Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, has been added to the guest-of-honor list. And that, right there, means a big freaking crowd. OK -- bigger. Mark Walters, who puts on this annual wingding with Ben Stevens, says Felton was just added -- turns out he's shooting a movie in the States; hence this "rare U.S. appearance," as Walters puts it. "He never does anything Stateside. And with the Harry Potter movie coming out a few weeks later, I figured he'd be unavailable. This started as a Star Trek event; now it's something for everybody." Meaning: everybody.
