This just in from the U.S. Census Bureau: The DFW is a-growin' and then some. Seems that since April 2000, some 842,000 folks have moved into the metroplex, pushing the population well past the six-million mark. Take that, Houston, and your measly increase of 825,000. You too, Phoenix, with your pitiful 787,000. And, Austin, really? Just 263,000? How do you metropolises (or is that metropoleis? metropolii?) live with yourselves? Speaking of: How did San Diego manage fewer new residents than McAllen-Edinburg? That cannot be right. --Robert Wilonsky
