The conversation no doubt spanned a wide range of topics, but the audio clip just posted on the station's website covers just one: Donald Sterling.

Sterling was just banned for life from the NBA after audio surfaced featuring him making racist remarks to his girlfriend, and Sanders shares the prevailing view that the LA Clippers owner is a racist asshole who doesn't deserve to own an NBA franchise.

That said:

I don't agree with how [the recording] was obtained. Because with my private conversation, it's hard for you to penalize me and my private conversation, because in my private conversation -- if we really knew how our bosses felt about us, we may not want to work for them. If our bosses knew how we really felt about them, all of us may be terminated. That's your private conversations. I don't condone that...The way I feel if it's something in private it should have been private. It should not have become public.

On the one hand, of course Sanders thinks famous people's embarrassing conversations should be kept private. This is a guy who only recently was the subject of a leaked recording in which he demanded a raise and threatened to break a Prime Prep Academy administrator's neck.

On the other, this is a guy who live-tweeted his divorce and made his family the subject of a cable reality show.

To answer your other burning Deion question, Sanders plans to buy the Clippers from Sterling, but only if he can put them layaway until 2020.

"The divorce attorneys -- they got my money."
