Get your tickets now: As if this year's Coachella music-fest (April 27-29) lineup wasn't stellar enough, boasting acts from Rage Against the Machine to Willie Nelson to Roky Erickson, there's one more reason for Dallasites to pack up their tents and make the long journey to the deserts of California: Our own Fair to Midland, known for their semi-experimental, hard-edged tunes, has scored a slot playing the final day of the action.

Set times have not been announced yet, but we know the band plays Sunday, probably early -- before the likes of the Kaiser Chiefs, Damien Rice, Lily Allen and a reunited Crowded House. When reached via e-mail for comment, FTM frontman Darroh Sudderth told Unfair Park: "It was an unexpected surprise and we feel extremely fortunate and grateful to be accepted to play." Let's hope their set is more interesting than their quotes. (Let's also hope Peaches and Willie Nelson sing a duet.) Tickets for the fest go on sale here Saturday at noon Dallas time. --Jonanna Widner
