In just-announced news sure to tickle my mother, Olympia Dukakis is coming to Dallas on February 28 to take part in the Nasher Sculpture Center's NasherSalon chitchat. The cousin of at least one failed presidential candidate, the Golden Globe- and Obie-winning actress will be joined by AFI Dallas International Film Festival artistic director Michael Cain, who will no doubt ask Dukakis about, ya know, Moonstruck, Steel Magnolias, last year's Away from Her (for which Julie Christie will win the Oscar, book it) and her estimable career on stage and television.

The thing ain't cheap -- tickets are $45 for non-Nasher members, $40 for those who are, and they go on sale Sunday morning here -- but, hey, there is a Moonstruck screening after the talk. Or perhaps you'd prefer Look Who's Talking Too. --Robert Wilonsky
