We're such swell people over here at Unfair Park that we don't ever have to worry about karma catching up with us. No, sir. We bring you, the people, the news you need and deserve and we sleep comfortably at night knowing we've done right by Dallas. But in case your karma isn't at an optimum level (I'm looking at you, muffin men), there's an ideal opportunity for you in Arlington: The Special Olympics' Summer Games is in desperate need of volunteers for its activities this weekend.

It takes a total of 3,200 people to staff the games, and they still need 1,100 people to hand out awards, keep time, sell souvenirs and provide medical assistance, among a host of other tasks. Basically they want people to just show up and help. Time slots are available at Martin High School, Summit High School and on the UTA campus all day Saturday and Sunday. Volunteers 15 and over are welcome, and those 8- to 14-year-olds can participate with a parent or guardian's supervision. --Andrea Grimes
