Stacy Keibler won't be here after all, so, no, I won't exploit this as a cheap end-around allowing me to post some senseless, skin-friendly pics. Nope. Not gonna do it. Not that it would hurt the cause. Cause? Oh, yeah, the cause. It's the First Annual Dallas All-Star Celebrity Slam Jam, benefiting these guys and these guys.
The game, which takes place Saturday at 2 p.m. at SMU's Moody Coliseum, won't, as initially advertised, include Keibler, but it will feature Dallas Mavericks such as Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry coaching stars such as Chris Tucker and Donald Faison and Chris Brown and Nana Gbewonyo and even wannabe actors like, oh, say, this guy. The Mavs' dancers and ManiAACs and even that 6-year-old rapper Bentley Green will be on hand. And the first 2,500 fans will get a free NBA 2K7 video game. (Editorial aside: Because of construction on SMU's new basketball practice facility, parking around Moody is tight, so get there early.)
Tickets to the game are only $5 and $10, but what you really want is to bump (and maybe grind) with some celebs, right? Well, for a cool $150 you can have EYECANDY. It's the VIP pre-event party Friday night from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. at Suite. There are a limited number of tickets available to the public, so get 'em while they're hot by calling 214-353-8976 or sending an e-mail request. As if that weren't enough, your hunski-and-a-half gets you an open bar, plus world famous body-paint artist Joanne Gair will be inking up five Kim Dawson models. So it'll be just like this Gair masterpiece. With a tad more clothes. And a lot less Stacy. --Richie Whitt
