Yeah, yeah -- the Wilson bros. were in town Monday pimping their pic two-plus years after it made its bow in Austin at South by Southwest only to wind up on a shelf till now. And Owen brought Kate Hudson with him; like, wow, really? The star of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and The Skeleton Key and Raising Helen was here? Pardon the lack of enthusiasm, but we'll stick to brand names we can trust -- like, oh, Francis Ford Coppola, who's somewhere in the 214 this very moment.
He's been here for a day or so, word is dining at Abacus -- no doubt tasting Top Chef Tre Wilcox's fine fare. But he's here specifically for a special AFI Dallas-sponsored, invite-only screening tonight of his wife Eleanor Coppola's movie Coda: Thirty Years Later, which, word has it, is a behind-the-scenes doc about the making of Coppola's forthcoming feature Youth Without Youth. As no press is being invited to the screening and post-pic Q&A, we're almost tempted to tell you when and where the screening's taking place just for grins. But, no, not gonna do it. We will merely point you to our pal Matt Dentler's blog, where the SXSW bossman recounts Monday night's screening on the University of Texas campus.
