Tonight at the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie, South Dallas' prodigal daughter Erykah Badu will perform as part of the Sugar Water Festival that also includes Queen Latifah, Jill Scott and Floetry. The show, which has that can't-miss vibe about it, starts at 8 p.m. But to be honest, I really only point this out in order to draw your attention to a great MP3 blog, An Aquarium Drunkard, where today one of my favorite hard-to-find covers of all time is available for the downloading: My Morning Jacket's version of "Tyrone," which Badu released in 1997 on her Live album. The song has circulated before on various other MP3 blogs; it comes from a MMJ 2000 radio performance and is available on a CD full of oddities and rarities called Chapter 2: Learning: Early Recordings, which you can buy here. But no matter its age, MMJ's "Tyrone" is a timeless rendition of an oughta-be classic song; imagine if Neil Young had, ya know, soul. --Robert Wilonsky
