Are you ready for some football? You better be, because you're going to get some!
Sunday is Superbowl XLIII, and the Pittsburgh Steelers square off against the Arizona Cardinals in Tampa Bay, Fla.
Assuming you don't socialize with NFL sponsors and thus can't make it over to the Sunshine State yet don't want to watch at home, there are other options.
Uptown favorite Frankie's Sports Bar and Grill will have drink specials all day and through the evening while hosting the game on more than 50 plasma television screens. Games are also broadcast on wireless receivers at your table so you won't have to miss a thing, no matter how loud the crowd.
Downtown, Ten Sports Grill will show the game and host one of its regular Beer Bucket Sundays ($15 domestic beer buckets) along with $3 Bloody Marys and $2 mimosas. Sports fans can carry the Super Bowl theme down to their food, ordering one of Ten's "Souper Bowls" (catchy, right?).
Little Windmill Lounge on Maple offers a free buffet of "regional favorites"--meaning from Pittsburgh and Phoenix. Family-friendly Addison's Stadium Café shows football on big-screens, plays trivia games and has a Little League menu for the under-12 set...and a wine list for the grown-ups.
No matter who you're rooting for on Super Sunday, spending it with like-minded sports fans will make it even better. Especially if your team (think Arizona) wins and they have to buy you many beers.
