Good things come in threes. This week, two benefits are going strong in their third year, benefiting humans on down to their companions. For some great food and feel-good, check out what's going on this week.

The Cause: The Stewpot Alliance The Place: Union Station Tuesday's Third Annual Soups' On! Benefit Luncheon will feature 10 Dallas chefs serving their signature soups. The "Creating a Vision of Leadership" event will begin at 11 a.m. and feature a reception, silent auction, and speaker Morton H. Meyerson.

The Cause: Operation Kindness The Place: Duke's Original Roadhouse Operation Kindness is holding its Third Annual Bark n' Beer benefit from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on January 29. The event features live music, appetizers, goodie bags and a variety of dog-themed beer (Flying Dog, Rhar's Ugly Pug, etc.). Unfortunately, health regulations prohibit the pets of honor, so Fido and Fluffy can't come inside. The event is $25 and for attendees 21 and up.
