Guy Fieri, the Liberace of unremarkable American cuisine, rides again in North Texas. The Food Network star and kitchen magician has opened a walk-up burger stand at Gexa Energy Pavilion, the creatively-titled Guy's Burger Joint.
The restaurant started slinging its obnoxious menu with the subtlety of a meatball being fired out of a cannon during concerts earlier this month. One standout item: the "Makin' Bacon" ($14), a burger featuring a beef patty topped with another patty made of ground bacon. It's like this guy just can't get enough of bacon! Neither can we! Rock 'n roll, bro.
Dallas isn't the only city lucky enough to receive Fieri's juicy blessing. Guy's Burger Joints are spreading like a vicious case of norovirus, with locations opening at 11 other live music venues across the country. The stand reportedly uses biodegradable plates, napkins, cups and utensils, so you can save the planet while subjecting your body to the caloric equivalent of a war crime. Forget it, Jake. It's Flavortown.
