Beginning today, Five-Sixty by Wolfgang Puck is celebrating its first year in Dallas's One Big Ball with a special anniversary tasting menu created by executive chef Sara Johannes.

Through February 11, diners at the Reunion Tower restaurant can order a chef's amuse and various options for first course, main course and dessert for $50 per person. Some of the offerings: Puck's Signature Ahi Tuna Sesame Miso Cones, "Salt and Pepper" Calamari Salad and "General Tso" Style Crispy Quail.

The offer is available 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Also going on this week...

The Capital Grille executive chef Keith Hanks has created a new bar menu of small plates available for lunch and dinner, including Miniature Tenderloin Sandwiches with Wild Mushrooms and Boursin Cheese (hey, they didn't use the S-word!), Shrimp tossed in a Ginger and Mustard Vinaigrette and Lollipop Lamb Chops (so much for being on Dave's good side ... ) with Herb Oil and Aged Balsamic.

At Sigel's Addison location, Jamie Adams, vice president of The Sorting Table, will lead drinkers 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through a tasting of Snowden Sauvignon Blanc 07, Snowden Cabernet Sauvignon The Ranch 07 and Snowden Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 07. Info and RSVP are available by e-mail or at 972-387-9873.

Jeffrey Yarbrough, Tom Chawana, (Nandina, Lam Promwanrat, Jasmine) and Kitti Lirtpanaruk (Spice Thai Restaurant group, Sea Thai Bistro Peep Thai Nouveau) will open a new Thai restaurant, Naga Thai Kitchen and Bar, late January in Victory Park at 669 High Market St. A new restaurant in Victory Park -- what could possibly go wrong?

Little Debbie herself (apparently, she's a real person) will judge a look-alike contest with prizes including scholarships and cases of snack foods (to insure the resemblance doesn't last long, one supposes). Parents of girls ages 4 to 8 can enter at the Little Debbie web site until 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) Wednesday.
