A San Francisco chocolatier has added Dallas to its roster of popular city-themed tins.
Bridge Brands Chocolate plans to debut its three tins adorned with images of the Dallas skyline at the Winter Fancy Food Show this weekend. Dallas is among 10 cities getting its own "landmark tin" from the company, which created the line five years ago.
"We've had many people in Dallas who said they'd like something specifically designed for the Dallas market," Bridge Brands president Mike Litton says.
While plans call for the tins to be sold at airport concessions, Litton describes the chocolate within as "gourmet quality."
"The niche we've found is chocolate that's not mass market or chi-chi truffle," he says.
Litton says most buyers save their souvenir tins.
"It's something to put your pennies or your paper clips in," he says.
