Anyone going through withdrawals over the week-long absence of see-and-be-seen Addison hotspot BlackFinn American Saloon, they can exhale now. Although the place has been closed, it hasn't gone anywhere for good. It was just having a nice beauty sleep.

The remodeled version opens today at 4 p.m. with a brand new look.

If you check it out on re-opening night, you can try Blackfinn's Friday specials:
$6.99 burgers for lunch and dinner (in the bar and pub areas only) and
Happy Hour from 4 to 7 p.m. with half-price drinks, and $4.95 flatbread pizza. Blackfinn's February featured item is 20/20--not Mad Dog, but $20 surf-and-turf and a $20 bottle of wine.

The décor updates are plenty--indoor and outdoor--including paint, flooring and furniture. But not all the changes were cosmetic: Blackfinn has also flipped its management staff.

New Operating Partner, Larry Plaisance, has been the executive chef for Ruth's Chris Steak House and worked at the front of the house as the partner of operations for Italian chain restaurant Brio Tuscan Grille.

A second branch of BlackFinn American Saloon will open in the Arlington Highlands urban village in mid-March.
