Rachel Stone at the Lakewood Advocate got the scoop on three new retail outlets at BLVD, the new luxury apartment complex at SMU Boulevard and Greenville Avenue that offers, among many of its amenities, valet trash service, a "sparkling pool and sundeck," and 712 square feet of luxury living for just $1,375 a month.

It's worth every dime when you can go down stairs and pull up a seat at The Nodding Donkey, Torchy's or World of Beer. They've all signed leases for ground-level retail space at BLVD, which is scheduled to open May 1.

World of Beer recently opened its first Texas location in Arlington and pours more than 500 beers from around the world. No booze or food, just brew.

Torchy's taco business started out of a trailer in Austin, and this spot will be its 11th in the state.

This will be the second spot for the Nodding Donkey, which has a busy sports bar scene on Thomas Avenue.

Stone reports that the Prescott Realty Group expects the three spots to be open by the end of the year.
