Savor Dallas will be kicking off next week, and while it's easy to focus on the pinnacle of the event, the grand tasting hosted in Las Colinas at the Irving Convention Center, there are a number of other, smaller events leading up to the finale.
Last year, some attendees complained about long lines, long waits and crowding at the Wine Walk held in the Arts District. Organizers vowed to not repeat the mistake and have capped ticket sales to the events to prevent another deluge.
That's a good thing if you want to go to an event and have a ticket, but can be a bad thing if you wait too long and miss out. Case in point the Sips and Sounds event has only 80 tickets left available, so if it's on your radar you might want to pull the trigger soon.
If you need some extra incentive, I hear if you use the code "SIPS12" you'll save $10 off the admission price.
The International Grand Tasting promises more than 60 chefs and an impressive restaurant list this year, according of their website. You can check out our slide show of last year's event, here.
