Break out the mime outfit, because it's time to impersonate French stereotypes in the name of Bastille Day. Don your finest beret and striped shirt and head to Bishop Avenue, which will be transformed into a market with French wine, food, music and even a pétanque court. Event admission is free but those who wish to wet their gullets with the nectar of the gods will need to pre-purchase a wine glass. $25 begets the glass and two tokens good for food or wine. Additional wine can — and will, with great enthusiasm — be purchased onsite.

Prove that your beret purchase was justified, once and for all, by attending day two of the Bastille Day celebration, when food and wine vendors will set up shop on Flora Street in the Dallas Arts District. Once again, this event is free to attend but requires a $25 pre-purchased wine glass in the event that you want to imbibe.

Oak Highlands Brewery is turning 1. Blessedly, this 1-year-old's birthday party isn't being celebrated with a corporate mouse and a dubiously sanitized ball pit, but with the drinking of good, strong ale, and lots of it. OHB will bring out just about everything they've ever produced, with more than 20 beers on draft. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door and include three beers, an obligatory commemorative glass and a koozie.

Belgium has brought us a great many things: great chocolate, great cheese, great waffles. But perhaps the greatest export that this fine European nation can boast is its beer. They've already done doughnuts and Girl Scout cookies, so really it was only a matter of time before LUCK paired mini pies with beer. Tickets are $20 each; get them while the getting is good for one of the three seatings happening that day.

Chefs for Farmers and Whole Foods Market present Market Masters Dinner, a five-course dinner courtesy of five Dallas chefs whose chef o' meters are hotter than the burners in their respective kitchens. The chefs — Keith Cedotal (The Joule), Chad Houser (Cafe Momentum), Misti Norris (Small Brewpub), Josh Sutcliff (Filament) and Jonathan Thompson (Sugarbacon) — will prepare their course using pantry staples in an ode to this event's beneficiary, the North Texas Food Bank. Tickets are $100.
