If Buddy the Elf were real and in charge of arranging a benefit for the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital and the Crescent Fund, he would call it Cookies & Castles. He would then construct a magical candy wonderland in which children and adults alike could delight in the wonder of the season as they decorated gingerbread houses and gingerbread men. And he would wrap up the gingerbread houses with great care, so that the children who worked so hard to create them could later revel in their holiday-inspired craftsmanship. Buddy may not be real, but luckily this event is. Tickets are $75 and up.
