The Fort Worth Food and Wine Festival is upon us, which means a weekend jam-packed with all kinds of goodness. Things get off to a rollicking good start Thursday night with an all-you-can-(responsibly-)consume tacos and tequila party. Tickets to the aptly named Tacos + Tequila event are $50-$60.
Friday offers two events: the Main Event and Desserts After Dark. As the name implies, the Main Event is no small affair, with more than 100 wines, beers and spirits to choose from, as well as food crafted by local chefs. Tickets are $125 for general admission and $150 for VIP admission, which includes early entry to the event. Desserts After Dark, meanwhile, provides a great venue for some of the area's best mixologists and pastry chefs to come together and create boozy and baked magic. A $60 ticket enables you to sample their noshes and elixirs before voting for your favorite, and $70 tickets include early entry.
Saturday also offers two events: Rise and Dine, the brunch to end all brunches, and Burgers, Brews & Blues, the event that includes, in truly nonobfuscating fashion, both burgers and brews, as well as blues. Tickets start at $65 and $70, respectively.
The festival wraps up Sunday at Heart of the Ranch at Clearfork, where visitors at the Pitmasters Picnic will be treated to barbecue samples from 18 Texas pitmasters, as well as beer, wine and spirits. Tickets are $65-$75.

From Belmont to Ross, restaurants, bars and retailers on Lowest Greenville will open their doors for a day of deals and mini-events as part of Experience Lowest Greenville. Head to the Rain Crab for a tutorial in peeling and eating crawfish ($9.99 per person), or walk down to HG Sply Co for a lesson in growing herbs. Get good and loose at the Yucatan Taco Stand as part of its tequila tasting (4-6 p.m), and then head over to The Truckyard for a round of carnival-style games.

Manicured fingers beware: Crawfish season is upon us. If you’re eager to get your hands on some fresh Louisiana mudbugs, head to Community Beer for an afternoon of good eats and drinks. A $35 ticket includes two pounds of crawfish, three pints of beer and a commemorative pint glass. This event is family- and dog-friendly.

Enjoy more than 60 local restaurants, breweries, food trucks and vendors as part of Taste of Oak Cliff. Hailed as the “ultimate foodie experience," this new event is free to attend, but a $5 wristband must be purchased to partake in spirits. And while this event is family-friendly, leave your pups at home — special guests include some visitors from the Dallas Zoo.

Intrinsic Smokehouse & Brewery and Opa Greek Tavern are teaming up for a special beer dinner. It's special because it marks the first time that Intrinsic’s beers will be on tap at another restaurant and because good beer and Greek food are just plain wonderful. The dinner will feature five courses, each paired with an Intrinsic beer or a cocktail. At the end of the evening, dinner guests can take to the patio for some cigars (BYO) and communing with the owners of Opa and Intrinsic. Tickets are $56.28 per person.
