The new bar and craft beer retailer, Craft and Growler (3601 Parry Ave.) is hosting a little gathering for Friends of Fair Park today. Dallas Mayor Mike Rawling's deputy chief of staff, Shawn Williams, will take 20 minutes worth of Q&A regarding the #GrowSouth Initiative at 6 p.m. All day, 10 percent of all beer purchases will go towards Friends of Fair Park (a nonprofit organization whose mission it is to promote year-round use at the park).

This Friday, Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House (1154 Peavy Road) will be the only bar in Dallas to a offer 3-ounce "vertical tasting" of 10 editions of Stone Epic Ale -- brews that were all released one year, one month and one day from the previous year's edition, from 03.03.03 to 12.12.12. That sounds awesome. I hope there are T-shirts to go with. They'll tap the kegs at 4 p.m.

Klyde Warren Park will have real live, not-fake-at all reindeer, this Saturday from noon to 7 p.m. for its inaugural holiday celebration. There will also be a tree lighting, a bevy of musical performances and a tree lighting.
Craft beer enthusiasts should make haste in a hasty fashion to the AT&T Performing Arts area for the Dallas Winter Warmer, featuring a boatload of craft beer from all over the country. The event's website has all the details you'll need, including special pricing for designated drivers. And, as of Tuesday evening, if you enter promo code "SIGELS" you'll receive a $10 discount.

The Black Friar is hosting a Christmas beer tasting on Monday, December 17, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Stop reading and just email them already! It'll book up quick.
There's nothing formal about the tasting, just a self-paced, sip-as-you-wish beer tasting featuring Delirium Noel, Scaldis Noel, St. Bernardus Christmas, Avery Jubilation, Sierra Celebration, Anchor Xmas 2011 and 2012. The tasting costs $25.
