No doubt you've heard of Uber, the semi-upscale service that's dispatching shiny black cars all over Dallas so you no longer have to deal with dirty cabs. I've only had one experience with the service, which was set up by a friend to get guests from an apres party to the next stop of the evening. (Yes, that is how Deb rolls when she does Dallas, as she so often does). The driver was a mildly incompetent but polite older gentleman who knew little about space and time dynamics but was fun enough to talk with. All you have to do is swipe your thumb, and then wait to get fat cool off.

The Uber blog offers the following tips for getting the most out of your Uber ice cream experience ...

Ice cream trucks will be on the road from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Read: Aside from weekends, unless you're a stay-at-home housewife with four pool boys, the only place you'll see this truck is at the office. Surely, this will lead to a lot of pent-up demand come Saturday, which leads us to ...

Demand for ice cream trucks will be very high and availability very limited. It may take multiple tries to find an available truck. Please be patient! We'll be working all day to deliver as much ice cream as possible. Read: Don't get stoned until you get a confirmation that the ice cream truck is on its way. Uber is trying to make as much money as possible.

No cash required! Your ice creams will be charged directly to your Uber account. Read: Whoever downloads the Uber app is the person to get screwed. Or if you'd like a most positive slant, a friend with an Uber app and a penchant for sweets is a good friend to have in Dallas. Am I right, Deb?
