Check out the new Evan Kaufmann-directed video for Dallas power pop quintet They Were Stars. It's the first single off the band's debut record, Own Your Atoms (which features a sweet art photography shot from our own Dylan Hollingsworth on the cover).It's a nice little video to go with a pretty solid piece of power pop. Meanwhile, pertinent to nothing (maybe): Think these guys like Weezer? Just sayin'.
Hal Samples Our own Melissa Crowe already offered her take on last night's Jenny Lewis show and, by that account, with Lewis cruising the stage in a pair of Daisy Dukes, you needed a heart of stone not to find religion out in the Granada crowd.Thankfully these are 90 minutes that'll live on for posterity, thanks to Hal Samples' fine photography.
