The Internet thinks your Interstate 35E sucks. Constant rain and two major wrecks in the 45-mile stretch of highway between Dallas and Denton made the drive an absolutely miserable mess. I was feeling sorry for myself that my trip took an hour and a half--more than twice the usual time--until I talked to a few people whose trips took topped the two-hour mark. We've got a couple items regarding local music and cinema to share this afternoon. First, local country innovators Whiskey Folk Ramblers, a Dallas Observer favorite, will be featured in The Other Side Of Paradise. According to bassist Jack Daw Russell, the band was filmed for an important country-dancing bar scene and will have three songs on the soundtrack.
