No. 75: Baja Chicken at Mattito's
Why the Baja Chicken at Mattito's is still only an appetizer on their menu, we have no idea.
You'd think after years of us petitioning the restaurant to throw some Spanish rice and borracho beans on the plate and call it an entrée, they would have listened. They didn't. Sigh. Doesn't matter, we will still visit the Mexican restaurant anyway and enjoy the dish as our main meal. So what exactly is the Baja Chicken? It's bacon-wrapped chicken stuffed with Monterey jack cheese and jalapenos placed on a skewer and served with ranch and cayenne dipping sauces. Pretty much it's a bacon-wrapped heart attack on a stick.
