The new craft beer-inspired restaurant, Dallas Beer Kitchen, opens at 4 p.m. today at 1802 Greenville Ave.
Joe Scribner and Bryan Kaeser, who run a blog called Best Damn Things, have been carefully crafting this spot, which will have 30 beers on tap. The duo plan to marry craft beer, comfort food and good customer service -- the three key components to success they picked up on while blogging about other area restaurants and bars.
Aesthetically, the focus will be on the huge garage doors that open the front of the restaurant, surrounded by rustic brick walls and exposed beams and picnic-style tables.
Late last night DBK released the list of 30 beers that will be on tap.

The three nitro taps will pour Oskar Blue's Old Chub, Young's Double Chocolate and Deschutes Obsidian Stout.
The 27 other include: Founder's Dirty Bastard, Victory Gold Monkey, Lakewood Lager and Temptress, Revolver Blood and Honey, Oskar Blue's Dale's Pale Ale, Green Flash Hop Head Read, Boulevard Saison Brett, North Coast Old Rasputin, Victory Storm King, Ballast Point Sculpin and Victory at Sea, Firestone Walker Union Jack and Velvet Hammer.
The mains on the menu are an ode to movies: The Big Lebowski is a half-pound burger with roasted green chiles, sautéed mushrooms and Swiss ($11). The Goodfella has Jimmy's shaved Italian beef topped with hot peppers, onion, bell pepper, melted provolone and sweet mustard on a buttery pretzel bun ($10). The Lion Heart is a breaded and fried chicken breast with a house-made orange marmalade sauce topped with a jalapeño cilantro slaw ($8).
They also have a full line-up of Dublin Sodas, a Guinness cake served with Henry's Ice Cream and "oven roasted Pop Tarts topped with Henry's Super Vanilla Bean ice cream and sprinkled with Fruity Pebbles" ($5). The menu fails to mention if the Pop Tarts come with the thin veneer of icing or not. And sprinkles? Are these the Pop Tarts with sprinkles? Guess we'll have to go over to find out.
