Don't You Dare Miss the Dallas Observer Wine & Dine on April 14
Coming up on Wednesday, April 14, the Dallas Observer is hosting its 4th Annual Wine & Dine at the Fashion Industry Gallery downtown. There will be live music, wine, beer, spirits, and yes (oh GOD, yes) samplings from 30 area restaurants. That's right, 30. (OK, OK, even City of Ate has to engage in a little shameless promotion every once in a while.)
Among the participating eateries will be Kenichi, The Place at Perry's, AMPM, Melting Pot, and Wild About Harry's. So, you can fully expect to find some combination of these items at the Wine & Dine:
- A gluttonous array of custards from Wild About Harry's
- Enough wine to get the Green Giant drunk
- Booths with pyramid-like stacks of samples
- Lots of spices
- Garlic-infused things
- Man donning fake mustache to go back into dessert line as if "1st time"
Ricki Derek will be jamming live, so bring your dance shoes along with your belt-busting appetite. Advance tickets can be purchased here with a $25 donation (they'll be sold at the door for $35) and proceeds benefit the North Texas Food Bank. Oh, and you have be 21 or over, so don't forget your ID.
