Do you remember the huge, brick-heavy cell phones from the early 90s? The ones that practically broke your wrist while you tried to talk on it. We do and so does RA Sushi. This Thursday, April 22, RA Sushi will be holding an ugly cell phone contest to celebrate Earth Day. Three winners will receive gift certificates to the sushi restaurant in the amounts of $100, $50, and $25. You can swing by RA now to drop off your phone, but the judging won't take place until Earth Day. After the contest, all the collected phones will be donated to the American Cell Phone Drive.
RA Sushi will also be celebrating Earth Day by offering the Green Globe Punch for $8, which is a color-changing cocktail served in a punch bowl glass.
Another way you can honor the planet on Thursday is by attending Earthfest 2010 at Pegasus Plaza. The festival will last from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and feature food, music, face painters, a recycled clothing fashion show, and environment-related exhibits. For more information, click here.
