The club sandwich is an all-American institution open to anyone. Food historians tell us that the club sandwich has been around since the last century, and then argue about what goes on one, and whether it's properly made with two pieces of toast or three. I say, 'Who cares?' The question is where to get a good one. Well, Deli News in the Crescent does it pretty proud with an inch and a half of turkey, thick slabs of smoked bacon, mayo, fresh leaf lettuce, and a slice of tomato stacked between the bread and a decent pickle on the side.
