Mattito's Is Bullish On Cinco De Mayo
Think you can last a full eight seconds?
Today is Cinco De Mayo, a big day for Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants. Chances are you can head to your favorite and find some kind of celebration featuring food or drink specials.
But to any restaurant trying to top Mattito's (3011 Routh St.) annual fiesta, all we can say is "buena suerte, amigo." Starting at 5 p.m., the eatery and its tented adjacent lot will celebrate with tastings of Sauza tequila, mariachis, salsa band Latin Image and, of course, food and Mattito's signature Rumbaritas. Urban vaqueros can take a ride on a mechanical bull to win various swag and gift certificates if they can hold on for the full eight seconds.
