Pizza Hut is Giving Away Its New 3.5 inch Sliders Today for Free
Plano-based Pizza Hut unveiled its new gift to the world yesterday as part of a Super Bowl "Hut-Hut!" marketing campaign. The particulars of how it played out don't really matter (and they're kind of weird anyway), but Pizza Hut now has pizza sliders.

"Circles are the New Slice" is what they're telling us. And today (Tuesday, February 5) from 4 to 7 p.m. customers can try one for free, dine-in or carry out only. No, they won't delivery you a free pizza slider. (Yes, people are actually complaining about that.)
The sliders are 3.5 inches in diameter and are made with the pan pizza dough and come nine to a box for $10 or three for $5, with your choice of up to three different recipe combos with up to three toppings each.
Or! You can really think about how not-big a 3.5 inch pizza is, and ponder if it's worth the trouble or just enough to tease you. Because anyway you slice it, circles will never be the new slice. So, instead consider some great pizza options below.
In other news about what the masses really like: Yahoo! Finance reports that Pizza Hut franchise sales in the United States have grown from $4.1 billion in 2007 to $5.1 billion in 2011. One billion dollar growth in four years. Think they can convince people that small circles are the new slice? Probably.
